Seeing Double – Reflections on Dostie’s Latest Pablo Creek Masterpiece

It’s been far too long, but after a busy holiday season and an equally busy January, we’re back!  to kick things off, here’s a great Dostie home in Jacksonville’s Pablo Creek Reserve neighborhood. We actually did the shoot in December, but late is better than never, right?  The house, situated on a gorgeous pond, has lots of windows and an ultra-wide four panel sliding door (below) that blends the lines between inside and out.  This home’s open floor plan provides great living space versatility, perfect for entertaining!  Be sure to check out all our favorite shots in the gallery below!

Moon Over the Med – Dostie’s Latest Mediterranean Jewel

Last week, we had the pleasure of photographing two great Dostie homes in Jacksonville’s Glen Kernan neighborhood.  Here is part two of that shoot – a Florida-Mediterranean style home just a few doors down from the stunning brick home in the previous post.   Because of the orientation of this home, our shoot started just before dawn; the moon still visible among the pink-hued wisps in the pre-dawn sky.  As night gave way to day, we moved inside, where we were greeted by a stunning, curved foyer (below) that led into the spacious living room and kitchen.  Also of note is the massive 4-panel sliding glass door that completely blurs the lines between inside at outdoors.  Please feel free to peruse all the details of this wonderful home in the slideshow below!

Traditional Meets Trendy – Dostie’s Glen Kernan Masterpiece

Last week, we had the pleasure of photographing two great Dostie homes in Jacksonville’s Glen Kernan neighborhood.  The home featured in this post is a wonderful full-faced brick house with a very welcoming and traditional exterior.  When you step through the double doors of the front entry, you see the traditional influence in the styling and design, and yet the use of space and the flow of the rooms is distinctly modern. Some especially unique aspects of this home include the walk-up basement (an attic with spacious stairway instead of the standard ladder), and some really cook kitchen solutions, such as a swing-up butcher’s block that stores neatly inside a cabinet.  Please feel free to peruse all the details of this wonderful home in the slideshow below!

Mostly Modern – Going Bright with Dostie Homes

Going into the latest Dostie home, the first thing you notice is just how very bright the interior is – even without a single light on.  With the help of the folks at Dostie, the homeowner decided upon a really rather stunning color pallet – all within just a few shades of pure white.  From the floors, to the walls, to the kitchen – everything is bright and welcoming.  This shoot was all about the interior, but as grace would have it, the sky proved just too pretty to not take a few exteriors as well.  Please feel free to peruse all the details of this wonderful home in the slideshow below!

An Architectural Triple-Header with Sandifer Custom Homes

This past week kept us busy with quite a few architectural shoots, including three mini-shoots for Sandifer Custom Homes.  The folks at Sandifer recently completed three projects – a kitchen remodel, an outdoor kitchen, and a luxury outdoor retreat complete with cabana and pool.  As with many of their pool projects, this one comes complete with in-pool seating for four along the cabana.   Take a look at all of the great ideas in the gallery below – and be sure to check out this month’s edition of Fine Homebuilding Magazine for several of our photos from another stunning Sandifer project!
