This week, we had the opportunity to spend a few days at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, supporting the photography needs of Darden Restaurants (They operate Olive Garden, Longhorn, Capital Grille, Seasons 52 [the first one in the Jacksonville area opens in just a few weeks at the St. Johns Town Center] and Bahama Breeze). We provided the conference with 0n-site printing and studio photography, as well as conventional event coverage – all while learning a bit about the restaurant industry!
Darden is passionate about serving the community – and at this event they spent a fun afternoon assembling 1,000 backpacks full of school supplies for the region’s Boys and Girls clubs.
We even got a chance to preview BMI’s latest traveling show, The Southern Gentlemen Tour, featuring Ed Roland of Collective Soul and Kevin Griffin of Better than Ezra. And yes, memories from my high school years did come rushing back. I would certainly encourage checking them out when they’re nearby!
