Sun, Rain and a Hearty Helping of Lightning along Jacksonville’s Scenic A1A
Rumor had it that a very rare unicorn-level car, the 10 million dollar Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, was headed our way as part of the Gold Rush Rally that we posted about earlier today. So, after finishing up photos at the Ritz-Carlton, we headed south on A1A, to the spot where we had begun our afternoon. We never did get to see the car, but what we did get to see was just as amazing.
It’s always a wonderful thing when boyfriend and girlfriend become husband and wife – certainly Wally and Kim’s wedding was no exception. We had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for Wally and Kim back in 2013, so seeing there special day finally arrive was certainly exciting. The couple’s wedding was simple yet elegant, with a red and white theme that really complemented the occasion.
Congrats Wally & Kim! As always, check out all our favorite photos below – and if you enjoy our photos, please share this blog with your friends and help us get the word out!

So, we’re still playing a bit of catch up – here’s our last October wedding! Rachel and Waylon were married at the quaint and colorful Springfield Women’s Club on a beautiful autumn day. Surrounded by close friends and family, Rachel and Waylon said I do and became husband and wife! Even though we’ve shot almost 400 weddings, the idea of two becoming one is always exciting! Enjoy the photos!
We had the pleasure of shooting Vicki and Joseph’s awesome fall-themed wedding out at Mayport recently. The wedding was held out at the Gazebo at Ocean Breeze, with the reception inside. The perfectly crisp weather was a wonderful compliment to their fall colors. Thanks again for inviting us to be part of your day!
I just had to share this photo with you. Tonight, after a wonderful engagement session at Hannah Park and Historic Mayport, I hung out a while, in awe of the sunset. With the cooler weather has come some amazing sunsets this week (more photos coming soon), but this one took the cake. The different cloud levels made for a wide variety of bright vibrant colors!
This shot in particular is a 92 second time exposure (see how smooth the water looks and the movement in the clouds – long time exposures are how you get that effect). I’ve done light editing on the image, but what you see here is just about how I experienced it.
Sunsets like these remind me of a verse from Psalm 19: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Amen and Amen!
