Sun, Rain and a Hearty Helping of Lightning along Jacksonville’s Scenic A1A
Rumor had it that a very rare unicorn-level car, the 10 million dollar Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, was headed our way as part of the Gold Rush Rally that we posted about earlier today. So, after finishing up photos at the Ritz-Carlton, we headed south on A1A, to the spot where we had begun our afternoon. We never did get to see the car, but what we did get to see was just as amazing.
We love autumn weddings! We especially love them when they include Amelia Island, classic churches, boats, and a fun couple – as was the case with Kristen and Mike’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the historic St Peter’s Episcopal Church in downtown Fernandina, followed by a scenic boat ride to the reception site, Oyster Bay Yacht Club. Congrats Kristen and Mike – here’s to many, many years of joy!

We’ve been blessed to have some great vistas open up before us the past several weeks. And you know what that means – another photo of the day. This photo is of a coal burning power plant near the marshlands just west of the mouth of the St Johns River. The Sunset was pretty amazing, with a vibrant orange glowing behind the gleaming points of light from the plant. Enjoy!
