Traditional Meets Trendy – Dostie’s Glen Kernan Masterpiece

Last week, we had the pleasure of photographing two great Dostie homes in Jacksonville’s Glen Kernan neighborhood.  The home featured in this post is a wonderful full-faced brick house with a very welcoming and traditional exterior.  When you step through the double doors of the front entry, you see the traditional influence in the styling and design, and yet the use of space and the flow of the rooms is distinctly modern. Some especially unique aspects of this home include the walk-up basement (an attic with spacious stairway instead of the standard ladder), and some really cook kitchen solutions, such as a swing-up butcher’s block that stores neatly inside a cabinet.  Please feel free to peruse all the details of this wonderful home in the slideshow below!

A House to a Home – A Second Visit to One of Dreambuilder’s Jacksonville Beach Homes

This week we had the pleasure of spending an afternoon back at Dreambuilder Custom Homes‘ Avalon Two project.  The last time we visited, back in August, the house had just been completed and the owners had yet to move in.  So, as with many of our shoots, the photography was of an empty all-be-it beautifully designed house (view our favorite photos from that shoot here).   But even with a stunning house like this, there in nothing quite like walking into a beautifully appointed home.   That was certainly the case here – from the furniture and accessories to the artwork on the wall – everything really complimented the space.

Dostie’s Warm and Welcoming Las Calinas Model

We once again had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful Dostie Homes project – this time a wonderfully designed and decorated model home in the new St Augustine neighborhood of Las Calinas.   While I enjoy all our architectural projects, there is nothing quite like shooting a well designed and staged home – as was certainly the case with this great property.  Dostie Homes teamed up with talented interior designer Josie Myers, owner of Ms. J Design, to highlight the great potential this open floor plan home has to offer.
