Welcome to 2022!

Free 2022 Desktop Wallpaper Calendar Collection

Well, here we are… Like 2020, it seems 2021 wasn’t quite the year all of us were expecting. For many – probably all of us to one degree or another – it was a year of struggle, hardship and loss. But now its 2022! And with the New Year comes another 365 days for us each to make the most of, regardless of what comes our way. As has become our tradition, we’ve put together a collection of seven 2022 desktop wallpaper calendars to brighten up your computer in 2022. Whether you enjoy the pristine beauty of lighthouses on rugged shores, the thrill of unique and storied cars, the picturesque scenes of small town New England, or the bird’s-eye perspective of our fine art drone photography – we’re sure to have something to suite your tastes! And the best part – they’re all free to download and enjoy!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
– Jesus, Matthew 11:28, 29

We hope you enjoy our 2022 desktop wallpaper collection, and we wish each and every one of you a year of joy, accomplishment and (in a culture that is increasingly devoid of rest) a healthy portion of margin to slow down, relax and enjoy fellowship with the Lord, the fruits of your labor, and the warm comfort of friends and family.

2014 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – Shooting for McLaren

2014 03 Amelia Concours McLAREN - 21

It has proven a very busy week between a few shoots, a few meetings, and a ton of work on post-Concours distribution and promotion.  But more on that once things settle down.  For the second year in a row, McLaren had a presence at the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – and for the second year in a row, we’ve had the pleasure of providing photography coverage for them!  A lot of people would say that the main event of the Concours is the awards ceremony, but I bet the majority of the people in the picture above would beg to differ – several hundred people gathered to see the unveiling of this beautiful P1.

But that wasn’t all.  With McLaren’s 50th anniversary underway, the manufacturer had its own class, filled with unique and stunning racers from the first four decades of McLaren.  As with previous years, we used our ND filter to capture some unique full-sun time exposures such as the one above.  Also new to the field in Amelia was this stunning example of McLaren Special Operations – the MP4-12C below has over 20 unique elements that make your car stand out from a ‘regular’ McLaren (as if they needed any help)…  All in all, it was again a wonderful pleasure to shoot for the McLaren.

9-11: Newlyweds in a Sea of Tragedy

2012 09 11

Bryn and I had been married less than a month.  We had just returned from our honeymoon and I was just a few weeks into the fall semester at JU.  On that morning, 12 years ago, I had gone to school, and was in the administration building taking care of some business.  I knew something was odd when I walked up to the counter – the usually bustling sounds of work had all but stopped.  On the TV was the World Trade Center ablaze.

I soon found out what had happened, Terrorists has hijacked two aircraft and deliberately flown them into the Twin Towers.  It was no accident, as previously thought, but an act of villainy and evil our generation had never seen.  It was nothing short of shocking.  As a result, I returned home to be with Bryn and for the next 12 hours, we watched the coverage – we saw the towers fall – we saw footage from Washington, Pennsylvania and New York – we saw an endless line of people walking out of New York City – and we grappled with the staggering number of dead.

Twelve years later, as we again remember the attack and those who selflessly risked and lost their lives attempting to save others, may we never forget the cost.

As much as this day has impacted all Americans, please take a moment to remember and pray for the thousands of families for whom this day is a bitter and stinging reminder of loved ones lost.

As a Christian, it is times like these that call to remembrance the Lord’s Prayer, and Christ’s request: “Your kingdom come”.  There is hope in this reality.  There is coming a day, by the work of Christ on the cross, where pain and sorrow will cease, fear and death will be no more, and joy will be forevermore.   IF we are in Christ – this is our certain future:

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:3-4 ESV

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.” -Revelation 22:1-5 ESV
