This year, we again had the privilege of photographing the 2019 Misselwood Concours d’Elegance as part of the team from The Amelia. It’s both an honor and a joy to attend Misselwood, with its wandering lawns and quintessential New England views peppered with meticulously maintained and restored world-class cars.
It has been a supreme honor to be the official photographer of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance over the last several years – and something we hope to do for many years to come. Each year, we compile a talented team of automotive photographers to capture the spectacle that is the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – and this year was no exception. The team did an exceptional job covering the event and we certainly could not do it without them.

Well, I think we’ve finally recovered from our shoot-packed schedule at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – and that means a special gallery for you! I’ve got this habit (as does photogs Linc and Chuck) of collecting automotive emblem photos whenever we happen upon something unique – and when you’re at a place like the Amelia Concours, it’s easy to tick off a wide variety of emblems that you will likely never see out in ‘the wild’. Below is a small collection of our favorites from this year, including the Mercedes emblem on the rear of Sir Stirling Moss’ famous 722.

The big day has finally arrived! The 20th Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is officially in the books – and what a wonderful event it was! With over 300 vehicles in this year’s show, the sheer number of unique and notable world-class vehicles is a sight to be seen. This year the folks at the Concours offered up a wide range of classes for every taste, from the Cars of the Cowboys (below) to a special class of 26 cars Stirling Moss raced throughout his amazing career. Whether you love the raw sound of vintage racers or the sublime custom coachwork of early century luxury cars, the Amelia Concours has it all. The afternoon wrapped up with over 100 awards, capped by the best of show awards (above), with Best of show Concours d’Elegance going to the 1930 Cord L29 Brooks Stevens Speedster, owned by Ed Schoenthaler – and Best of Show Concours de Sport going to the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato Spider owned by David Sydorick.

Day three of the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance was another amazing spectacle for any automotive enthusiast! We spent the morning at Cars and Coffee – an event that seemingly grows exponentially every year – and included the unveiling of the Galpin Fisker Rocket which we had the pleasure of experiencing first hand on a mini photo-shoot (below). The car is a true piece of America Muscle – turned up to 11 – with the throaty growl of the 725HP V8 making known that this isn’t your ordinary Mustang. The day also included a very special photo shoot with Sir Stirling Moss among 24 cars that he has personally raced during his storied career – it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! So far so good – we hope to continue each day to post a small gallery of the day’s highlights for your viewing pleasure.
