Our Mega Gallery from Jacksonville Car Culture’s February Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall

With beautiful weather and an exuberant crowd of motorheads, the February Jacksonville Cars and Coffee was another stellar success. At this point, its really hard to get a solid number of how many cars showed up to the region’s largest monthly meet-up, but safe to say it couldn’t have been too far from 1,000 cars which made the petrol-pilgrimage to the Avenues Mall during the event. In fact, exotic row was so full this month that many of our supercar friends had to find parking spaces out among the crowd – providing some extra ground-hugging surprises down nearly every row. So too did two-wheeled enthusiasts turn out in droves, packing their dedicated area with some amazing bikes.

As always, we’ve got a generous Cars and Coffee gallery waiting for you at our site. Did we manage to capture your car this month – let us know – we love to hear from you!

Jacksonville Car Culture continued their partnership with the event’s great sponsors in awarding the Cars and Coffee Cup to one stand-out vehicle from the hundreds of cars that frequent the event. This month, the good folks at Wheel Keeper selected a beautiful champagne-gold 1964 Ford Thunderbird owned by David K. With only 72,000 original miles and having been a one-family car up until David became it’s caretaker last year, there’s no doubt his special ride deserved February’s coveted Cars and Coffee Cup!

January 2020 Jacksonville Cars and Coffee

Our Epic Gallery from Jacksonville Car Culture’s January Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall

After a busy Christmas break traveling through Virginia and New Hampshire (photos coming soon) we arrived back in Jacksonville just in time for the Roar Before the Rolex 24 (photos also coming soon…) and this weekend’s Jacksonville Cars and Coffee – the very first Cars and Coffee of the new decade – and just possibly the largest turn out for the event yet! As we are want to do, we took photos – lots of them – and wanted to share a few of our favorites here with you. You can, of course, visit the full gallery as well.

In addition to the near-record crowd and an especially full exotic car row, Jacksonville Cars and Coffee sponsor, Eurofed Automotive, selected a beautiful 1961 Porsche 356 Notchback (below) for this month’s Cars and Coffee Cup award. The car’s owner and caretaker, Vincent Vuong, shared with us a bit about the unique history of the 356 Notchback. Apparently, as the story goes, Porsche was having trouble sourcing a sufficient number of cloth tops for their cabriolets in the early 60’s. Not ones to waste time or resources, hard tops were welded onto these orphan 356 cabriolets and the Notchback was born. Of the 1,470 that were produced in 1961, most were converted back into the more desirable convertibles, so unmolested Notchbacks are now few and far between – especially in the condition of Vincent’s.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog. Do us a favor and leave us a comment. What was your favorite car from this weekend’s Cars and Coffee? What did you bring? We always love to hear from you. And don’t forget to check out our full Car Culture collection, with photos from nearly three years of Cars and Coffee – now with more affordable digital buying options.
