Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph two properties for Dostie Homes. Lucky for me, the homes were on adjacent lots. But don’t think that makes these homes twins – while they do share many of the premium amenities and creative spaces Dostie Homes is known for, the exterior of these homes could hardly be more different. One home looks like it could have been plucked straight out of an Iowa corn field, while the other is clearly a Florida-inspired home, complete with dramatic tower and decorative eaves. Thanks for your feedback Betsy – sounds like you had a really rough time – sorry to hear that. I don’t work for the company, so I am not familiar with all the details, but I believe the Dostie that build your home is not the same company. At some point around 2000, the company was bought out by a large national company and I believe for a time that they retained the Dostie name. Dostie Homes is actually a relatively young company – I think less than 6 years old. Though I am just a photographer, I have been in many of their new homes and actually I’ve been really impressed with the level of attention to detail that they put into their interiors. Anyway – hope everything got sorted out in the end!
