Our Mega Gallery from Jacksonville Car Culture’s October Cars and Coffee
It’s that time of the year again – when Jacksonville Cars and Coffee takes its annual field trip to TIAA Bank Field to partner with the Jaguars for one epic car show. This year was no exception, with record crowds and participants – and over 800 cars on display. For the first time, we also experimented with a step-and-repeat style portrait for those who purchased reserved parking (find your photo at our full October Cars and Coffee Gallery). Also new for October, after some helpful feedback from you, we’ve dramatically cut our digital download prices for current and past Cars and Coffee events.
Photographing the Track-ready, Street-savvy BGB Motorsports Porsche 911 GTS for Panorama
When we got a call from the good folks at Panorama to photograph a Porsche 991.2 GTS at Daytona International Speedway, it would be fair to say I was more than a little excited. When I learned I would have the car for the morning to drive around the infield and photograph, it was even better! And when I found out that our photos of the aptly nicknamed ‘Big Bird’ would be featured in the 750th edition of Panorama, I was ecstatic! Here’s just a few of our favorite images from this epic shoot. Be sure to check out the full article on page 90 of the September issue of Panorama.
Our Mega Gallery from Jacksonville Car Culture’s September Cars and Coffee
Despite the threat of weather thanks to Tropical Storm Humberto, automotive enthusiasts from all over Northeast Florida turned out in mass for this weekend’s Jacksonville Car Culture Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall. Near record crowds once again flocked to the parking lots surrounding the mall to display and enjoy the diverse and unique collection of cars that the event draws each month.
Photographing the Stricken Golden Ray along the Beautiful Georgia Coast
When my good friend, Ed, called me up out of the blue on Tuesday morning, I knew I was in for an adventure. On our last photo excursion, we enjoyed being eaten alive by gnats, nearly being swallowed by a waterspout, and being deluged by a pop-up thunderstorm. Yet, when Ed asked if I’d like to photograph the Golden Ray, which had capsized in the mouth of Saint Simons Sound a few days earlier, I couldn’t refuse. Thankfully, this adventure was far less eventful, though every bit as interesting as our last excursion.
An Autumn Stroll Among Long-Forgotten Nova Scotia Photos
Sometimes, a trip down the rabbit hole can be a rewarding experience. What began as a search through our archives for lighthouse panoramas to round out our collection became a discovery of unedited images, including over 100 yet-to-be stitched panoramas, from a very special trip to Nova Scotia back in 2011. With Hurricane Dorian bearing down on the province today with 100mph winds, our hearts go out and our prayers go up to the good people of Nova Scotia.
