Over the past few weeks, we’ve had some wild weather down in the Southeast. Most afternoons here, the storms build, creating these really beautiful formations of rain-laden clouds that tower into the stratosphere. And this is the kind of weather, though a bit of a gamble, that can yield amazing sunset imagery.
So, I’ve been working on a side project recently to capture the Dames Point Bridge (Jacksonville, FL) from a unique angle. With such pretty weather, I’ve spent a few nights along the marsh, photographing the bridge as the day gives way to night. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot. Enjoy – and of course, feel free to download as a desktop wallpaper!

Beautiful work! As I type, we are getting drenched with the remains of Isaac, and he is really pouring it out still, way up north in Michigan. We need it though, after a summer of drought.
