Today’s feature is another in our series from our travels through New England. This shoot was split through two days – dusk one day, and the following dawn. Did I mention the sun rose at 5:30 and my shoot was an hour from where we were staying. Yeah – that meant a 4:00 AM wake up. It was a bit early for my tastes, but well worth it! The sunrise was amazing over Nubble Light, in York, ME.
The previous evening, we spent our time at Fort McClary – an early 19th century fort constructed to defend the entrance of the Piscatiqua River and the strategically valuable ship-works of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard just a mile up the river. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy – and of course, feel free to download as a desktop wallpaper!

Thanks for the tour! Beautiful photos!
Thanks! I’ve been enjoying the cool weather up here! Much better than the usual FL summer…
I’m from Maine! You’ve done it justice.
Thanks so much! I grew up just across the border in NH, and so when we visit, I tend to find my way to Maine! I love New England. I have more Nubble photos from December / January on the blog too!
Awesome, I’ll check them out! New Hampshire is great too.. I hike the Whites pretty often.
The first photo is… Wow!
Thanks John!
