Tis’ the season for Jacksonville Car Culture’s December Cars and Coffee! With Christmas just around the corner, this Cars and Coffee was extra-special, with a heaping helping of kid-sized toys collected to benefit Toys for Tots, complimenting the two, three and four-wheeled “big boy” toys that frequent Cars and Coffee the second weekend of each month. As we’ve come to expect from Jacksonville’s big-hearted automotive enthusiasts, folks showed up in droves to donate all manner of toys for this worthwhile cause.

The last Cars and Coffee of the decade also brought with it a few new things which will carry on to the new year. New for the Jacksonville Car Culture brand – and just in time for Christmas – they’ve introduced some much-requested merch – and there’s none of that cheap stuff here – instead they invested in premium products that you’ll be proud to own for years to come. From the premium Cars and Coffee Tumbler with a clear coat finish to rival the paint on many of our cars, to luxurious Jax Car Culture tees so soft and comfortable that you may forget you’re wearing a shirt – their growing line of merch is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Also new at the December Cars and Coffee was the introduction of the Cars and Coffee Cup – a monthly award selected by one of the event’s sponsors for their favorite vehicle of the show. The winner on the inaugural Cars and Coffee Cup, selected by the good folks of Hagerty, was a stunning, deep red 1978 Datsun 280z owned by long-time C&C supporter Jake Chandler Brubeck (below).

As the decade draws to a close, we can’t help but reflect on how much Cars and Coffee has grown over the years – from a modest gathering of a few dozen cars at the Times Union building, to the region’s largest regular meet-up often numbering in excess of 700 cars. We can’t wait to see what the next decade has in store for this awesome community event!
