Our Mega Gallery from Jacksonville Car Culture’s August Cars and Coffee

Unlike the June Cars and Coffee, skies were clear and the sun sweltering at this morning’s gathering of automotive enthusiasts. When we set out at 7:30, the temperature was a more or less comfortable 80°F. Yet when we left the event just after 10, the heat index was indicating 118 degrees thanks to temperatures in the upper 90s and humidity well over 75%. Needless to say, our 1970 Triumph TR6 and its utter lack of air conditioning probably wasn’t the best choice to drive today. But despite all of the atmospheric junkiness, the the First Coast’s car enthusiast came out in force – filling the parking lots of the Avenues Mall yet again.

In addition to a larger than normal contingent of Triumphs at this month’s Cars and Coffee, the show had all the usual fixin’s, with epic supercars, lifted trucks, dropped imports, row upon row of vintage and modern American muscle, and much, much more. JDM Imports continue to be a crowd favorite, and it seems you see more and more every month. One that caught my eye in particular was a Fairlady Z 2/2 – apparently designed for the family man who still wants a bit of style with a side of get up and go.
