We’ve hit a seasonal milestone here in Florida – one that is unique to photographers and glass-wearers that inevitably signals the coming of summer in Florida. This week, while on a shoot, I ventured from inside an air-conditioned Winn-Dixie to the outside, and instantly, my lens fogged up – a sign of the humidity and accompanying heat that comes with a Florida summer. Full disclosure, I do not care for Florida summers – and so for my fellow sufferers, here’s a sampling from our winter collection – a chilly reminder that this too shall pass…
Exploring Sarasota Classic Car Museum & Vintage Motors
This past week, we had the pleasure of heading down to Sarasota to photograph a conference for our friends at Firebirds Wood Fire Grill. I had a few hours of down time, and as providence would have it, I stumbled upon an automotive gem hidden a few hundred feet from my hotel. The gem, Sarasota Classic Car Museum, is the second oldest continuously running car museum in the United States, getting its start in 1953 as the century’s send Florida Land Boom was well under way.
If you’ve followed us for any time, you probably know of our deep affection for the national parks. It is no overstatement to say that our country’s national parks are one of our greatest treasures – a crown jewel founded on some of the deepest principles of our nation. Principles like freedom, democracy and equity. The parks are open to all and owned by every single American.
As we returned to blogging after a little, itty-bitty break of about 2 years, I realized that we were rapidly approaching our 500th post. I was a bit surprised – so much so that I had to go back and count, but sure enough this post is #500! So, what do you do with such a milestone?
